I’ve been putting off writing a review of Precision Garage Door with hopes that a post installation problem would be corrected so I could write a good review, but it hasn’t and this is disappointing. We upgraded our garage door from a single metal door to a double steel insulated door with windows across the top row. The new door was installed by Austin on Wednesday, April 30th. He did a fantastic job, but as we were closing out and looking things over, we noticed the windows did not have the “arched grids” that we ordered. We pointed this out to Austin and showed him our contract/order included the “Arched Thames”. He looked on the truck and determined they were not loaded with the other items and said they may have been missed or perhaps were not ordered with the doors. He called the office and found that our Arched Thames window inserts were there at the office. He said someone would stop by in the next day or two to install the inserts. Also saying we did not need to be home because they are simply snapped in place from the outside. Thursday and Friday passed and no one showed up with our parts and no one contacted us. That in itself is disappointing because we gave Austin a very large tip for the job he did. So large in fact that if it was me, I would have drove to the office to get the inserts and bring them out the same day… But, no word at all from Austin. Not having Austin’s number, I contact the salesman early Friday afternoon, hoping we’d get our parts before the weekend and explained what happened. I sent a copy of the contract showing we were supposed to get the Arched Thames and he responded with an apology and said he would find out what happened. No word the rest of the day from the salesman. I texted the salesman Saturday afternoon asking for any news on our parts and he replied with a “should have that answer on Monday”. I don’t want to be that difficult customer or a “Karen”, but come on… How difficult is it to get the parts from the office to my house? Parts that should have been on the truck to begin with. I vented to the salesman on Saturday who appreciated our concern and promised to get this resolved. Coming up on the end of the Monday and nothing, no word from anyone at Precision. Can’t help but feel they are lying or hiding something. Why tell me the parts are at the office when 5 days go by and we still don’t have them? The Sanford office is less than 20 minutes from my house. If the parts were not included when they ordered the door or if they cannot find them, just tell me that. This lack of communication and fact that they have not delivered on the contract we paid in full is not sitting well with me. Again, I really wanted to write a nice review because the new door looks and works great, it’s just their after install service that is sucking right now… Andy Griffith Oviedo, FL To add insult to injury… I received the boiler plate “thank you” email from the Owner of Precision asking if we’d be kind enough to write a review and to click this link. The email ends saying if you were not totally satisfied, the Owner, Carlos Morales, would consider it a favor if I called and gave him the opportunity to redress the situation. Well I call the number that Carlos Morales left in the email and it turns out to be the number to the main office, where you get put in the automated answering loop (i.e. press 1 for English, press 2 if you are ordering , press 3 for HR and application status, etc…). Seriously!? You’re the owner of a company, you email clients thanking them for our business, and you give a number to contact him directly, but it’s the number to nowhere… Sorry, I’m put off over this whole ordeal…

After trying to get quotes on a new door from several locations, we were told that a door couldn’t be fitted for our carport that was converted to a very low clearance garage. Then I had Sam from Precision out and he said it would be a complex install but could be done. Order placed and used their Sherwin Williams color match to get the exact color we wanted. The new door was a custom order due to size but it still came in weeks earlier than promised. April 28th installers Ian and Austin arrived for the install. They spent a lot of time analyzing what they had to work with and it was supposed to be installed with springs on the rear by the opener. After many measurements, they determined they could install with springs on the header like a normal install with a few modifications. From initial quote to ordering, permitting and install was flawless. The quality of the work and product was top notch and far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door!!

We were extremely pleased with our first encounter with Designer Tyler Hartley. He was knowledgeable, professional and courteous throughout the process of selecting the appropriate new garage door. He also kept us informed regarding manufacturing delays. Installers Michael and Jason were very skilled and efficient in completing the installation in three hours. They demonstrated extraordinary teamwork and attention to detail during the install process.
