Ready to head out for an appointment at 10:25am the other day only to discover our garage door wouldn’t open when we pushed the wall mounted opener button—it would go up about an inch and drop back down every time we pressed the open button. Released the belt drive and the two of us struggled to lift the massive wide door. Our first couple of lifts were futile but realizing we had to be on time for our appointment we put everything we had into our lift and as the door slowly began to rise against our straining I glanced up and saw the right side spring was broken. Our lift effort paid off and after pulling the car out and lowering the door carefully by hanging onto it we were on our way. Called Precision while getting underway and got a service appointment for that afternoon. Rob arrived a short while after we returned, did his service assessment, and said Evan would be there shortly to remedy our broken spring problem. We had him install two new springs and based on Rob’s assessment he took care of a couple of other items that rendered the door’s operation smoother and a lot quieter. This was Precision’s third visit in 6 years. They installed a new motor and drive system along with springs back in 2016. A year ago we had them out for wheel replacements and accompanying routine maintenance. This was the first time we required same day service and they were able to come out early that afternoon! Both Rob and Evan were extremely personable, well spoken, knowledgeable, and efficient. We were very pleased with the performance of the two of them and believe that top notch service is part and parcel of Precision’s corporate culture. Any reliable service of any kind today is not inexpensive but we’re convinced that in the long run you do get what you pay for. Sure, we could have gotten it taken care of for less, perhaps by having to accept a service appointment later than we needed it rather than sooner, with lesser quality parts that might not have been available when we needed them, and by less qualified individuals. Precision took good care of us when we first moved here and we’ll trust them to continue to do so as needed in the years to come.

I can’t remember the gentleman’s name who came out first to give us the estimate, but he was very knowledgeable and told us exactly what was wrong with the garage door system. He didn’t try to upsell us but gave us options on what we could do to get our garage door in good working order. We were thrilled at the price that was quoted to us, and he was able to have the technician, Greg Franklin, start the job within the hour, the same day. Greg was friendly, got the job done quickly, and did a few extra things to ensure the garage door was fixed perfectly. I can’t say enough great things about this company. We have been taken advantage of by another company that did the completely wrong thing, so it was refreshing to have a company not give us the run-around.
